Shifter problem.

I've heard nothing but good things about b&m and it doesn't lower the shifter itself too much.

all i've heard about the B&M is that it's REALLY firm, and sometimes noisy if you get the 'stablizer bushings' with it. will the B&M clear the exhaust? anybody heard anything about Skunk2?....i was thinking about getting theirs.

i've got a c's and a dc..both are good quality. the dc hits my exhaust sometimes, but i'm gonna tighten up the bushings that should fix it. c's is closer to stock height.

My OBX short shifter is the same length as the stock shifter. The pivot ball is about 1" up the shifter to enable shorter throws, so my shift knob (still using stock) is only 1" shorter inside the car. I did not have any problems with my shifter and my exhaust hitting, but my exhaust is still stock also. Dunno if an aftermarket exhaust may hang a little differently and create issues with the shifter.
